Sprinkles of Genius, With a Chance of Doom

Sunday morning: confronted by a phalanx of 20 or so Finnish exchange students, walking down 11th in downtown LA, who had gone to the “Fashion District” with the impression that one went to the Fashion District to buy clothes.

I had to explain to them, sadly, that there is basically nothing in downtown LA like what they were looking for, and even if the Macy’s on Flower had stayed open it would have been pretty thin gruel. I suggested that they get to West Hollywood to Beverly Center or something, and the next question was priceless:

“Is there some way we might get there by public transport?”
